On Sunday, September 9, 2012, the 13th Annual Pet Rock Festival was held at Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester, MA. This is a huge event held yearly where thousands of animal lovers get to spend time with other animal lovers while helping raise money and awareness. Check out Pet Rock Mission.
I spent time with Echo Dogs White Shepherd Rescue to photograph some of their current and former foster dogs. And as usual I fell in love with all of them, especially little Beri (above).
This sweet pup certainly knew how to strike a pose and when he wasn’t he was trying to get every dog he saw to play with him. When no dogs were available, a photographer lying flat on her stomach at perfect ground level made a great substitute. Nothing like seeing 20 lbs of puppy come hurtling at your face! LOL

The other sweet puppy at Pet Rock was Denali, one of the MegaE boys.
Dogs with Megaesophagus require special attention for the rest of their lives. They must eat and drink in an upright position, just like people, and so special chairs have been made to keep them vertical. But as you can see in the photos, MegaE dogs can lead a normal and happy life.
Krystal (below) is a very elegant lady and immediately gave me her regal side pose. She saw the camera and just struck a pose…
and then another…
Obviously, this girl has had professional model training! She definitely has the face for it.
Rellic (below) is a handsome fella who also knows how to strike a pose. Here he is with his foster dad, Bob.
This boy is pure drop dead hunk and very strong. He needs to learn his manners but is food motivated so will learn quickly.
He can be a little pushy with the girls. I just couldn’t resist taking this shot. LOL
